Changing the world of live events

I work on the Fan Facing side of the platform. My team is focused on customer retention, acquisition, and discovery—basically, the parts of the site people click first.

A few things I've already had the chance to do:

• Migrated our Homepage to next.js and pioneered the usage of next/image, cutting homepage image weight by 75%
• Led and fully executed the TypeScript migration of our static-maps service, improving maintainability of a key service
• Enabled Marketing, PR and SEO to self service multiple surfaces through Contentful, reducing the need for dev support
• Led and delivered key SEO improvements, consisting of both techical and product work, resulting in major search ranking gains
• Drove Core Web Vitals improvements, boosting CLS "good pages" significantly, and improving at the time newly introduced INP scores
• Implemented Calendar Mode for NBA and NHL with reusable infrastructure
• Co-led engineering on viral projects like the Duolingo April Fools page
• Shipped critical experiments across discovery surfaces, helping us understand the impact of our work
• Removed legacy PHP dependencies from multiple pages, creating a plan to sunset PHP from team's responsibilities once and for all
• Contributed across the stack — React, Python, Go. React is my bread and butter, but I've also had the chance to work on Go and Python projects, and I'm always looking to learn more!

Along the way, I’ve touched both frontend and backend codebases. Shoutout to my teammates for being amazing guides as I ramped up in Go and Python.
